| Community Care Services are provided jointly by: East Lothian Community Health Partnership (the local health organisation) The partnership provides community services such as district nursing, occupational therapy, physiotherapy. East Lothian Council’s Community Services Department The Council provides services which are usually arranged through a social worker. Community Care Services include domiciliary services such as meals-on-wheels, travel to services outwith the home such as day centres and lunch clubs, residential care and respite care. Appropriate housing is also important to help people live independently, as is supported employment and training. Services from voluntary and service providers are often funded by the Council and NHS. |
