This year ELCCF celebrated moving to its new premises at 3-4 Sidegate, Haddington, at its annual event and AGM in the Trinity Centre, Haddington on September 26th.

ELCCF's Annual Event 2010

Last year,  ELCCF marked its 10th anniversary. Celebrated in June, the event in the Marine Hotel North Berwick, was a great success on a fine day.

Read about it in our 2010 autumn newsletter.

ELCCF's Annual Event 2009

Our annual event in June in the Town House, Haddington, invited all to come and try their hand at becoming Community Detectives - by using new methods of Community Research to discover what people in our communities want.

ELCCF's Annual Event 2008

Not only was the ELCCF annual event and ceilidh ‘Fling Open the Doors’ a resounding success, but it allowed us to gain an insight into how well the different bits of the event went down and give us a signpost as to future development.

The whole shebang, including the annual general meeting, was held in the Trinity Centre in Haddington in June. The agm business went smoothly and the presentation on the new ELCCF website was well received.

Judging from the replies given at the event, 87% said they liked the website presentation - with a total of 91% replying they understood it. 75% felt they were able to participate in a discussion about the website, with 65% saying they would use the site to keep in touch with the Forums. A rousing 97% said they’d learnt more about the work of ELCCF and the Forums from the presentation.

A total of 100% said they liked the kilts.

But it was the ceilidh which proved the highlight, with accordionist John Cessford and his drummer colleague Alex providing everybody who came with the chance to get away from the telly at home and have a wild wee “Whee-euch!”

Sometimes it’s best to pack away the business and grab what time we can together for a song and a dance.

A selection of pictures taken at from the event can be seen in the Photo Gallery, while the results of the evaluation forms can be seen here (downloadable Word doc).
